The General Director of the National Cannabis Control Agency, Mrs. Assoc. Prof. Linda Pustina and a delegation from the National Agency for Cannabis<\/em> Control\/ NACC<\/strong>, along with members of the Licensing Commission<\/strong>, conducted an official visit to the United States<\/strong> from December 2 to December 6, 2024, to learn from the best global practices in the cannabis<\/em> industry.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the delegation<\/strong> participated in the annual meeting of the Cannabis<\/em> Regulators Association<\/strong>, where discussions were held on the legal framework and<\/strong> best regulatory practices applied in the cannabis<\/em> industry in 45 states of the USA, as well as in Canada, Malta<\/strong>, and the Netherlands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The delegation also participated in the 13th edition of the International Cannabis<\/em> Expo<\/strong>, a global hub for innovation and international cooperation, where the latest technologies for the cultivation and processing of cannabis<\/em><\/strong> were showcased, with a focus on environmentally friendly practices.<\/p>\n

During this visit, Ms. Pustina held a series of bilateral meetings, including with representatives from the FDA, members of the Board of Directors of CANNRA, the head of the California Cannabis<\/em><\/strong> <\/strong>Control Department, leaders from key departments of Health Canada, representatives from the Oregon Department of Agriculture’s Reference Laboratory, and the head of the New York State Office of Cannabis Management. <\/p>\n

These meetings were an important opportunity to build connections and establish bridges of collaboration with key actors in the cannabis<\/em> industry in the United States and Europe, enabling the acquisition of knowledge and best practices for the sustainable and innovative development of this promising industry in Albania.<\/p>\n
